In line with the Tokyo Game Show, KoeiTecmo has announced more details about the Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity. Although the stream was only available in Japanese, a first gameplay demo was shown that shows how the art style can be combined with the fast-paced gameplay.
The video shows Link fighting numerous enemies. The combat system should feel even more dynamic, which is why Link can surf on his shield as the end of a combo, for example. However, there are also many mechanics from Breath of the Wild, because Link can aim with a bow in the air and even time is slowed if the game evades at the right moment.
Meanwhile, there are also cutscenes during missions. In the video, for example, Link has to save a young Impa from whom he also receives the Sheikah stone. The device has numerous capabilities, which should change depending on the character. Immediately afterward it was revealed that Impa, who mainly fights with her clones, can also be played.
Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity Release Date
The gameplay was followed by a new trailer that focuses on the four guards and illuminates the story once more. Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity is coming to Nintendo Switch on November 20th.
