However, the gameplay for the third trick of the developer has been completely overhauled. All information about the release, gameplay, and story as well as the current trailer can be found here in the overview.
When is The Wasteland 3 Release Date?
Publisher Deep Silver announced the game’s release date early on. The game will be released today, Friday, August 28th, 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Wasteland 3 Story and Gameplay
Wasteland 3 starts right after the end of the story of Wasteland 2. However, players who have not played the other two parts need not be afraid: the story should be easy to understand even without prior knowledge.
The main character is also similar to those in the previous games. You take on the role of the last surviving member of Team November, a group of rangers. The story also focuses on a man who calls himself Patriarch and leads a group of formerly wealthy preppers.
From the very beginning, it becomes clear that the gameplay relies on the co-op mode. The player selects a character duo that he can use both as a single-player and together with a friend. The group is later expanded to four members.
In addition, the developer inXile relies again on turn-based battles and the classic three-quarter view. However, the combat system has been improved. Instead of standing in line, the individual characters can now be used strategically and have to act much smarter.
